Hi all. I am new here, been making wines (meads) for a couple of years now, but still have A LOT to learn.
Browsing around here it looks like I can pick up some good advice and tips.
Thanks in advance for all the input.

Bill

Welcome!

Welcome aboard! I am embarrassed to admit, but I have never tasted Mead. I imagine it as pretty thick. Is it like a dessert wine?

Welcome BBhouse! Feel free to ask any questions. remember, the only stupid question is the 1 not asked.

Welcome bbarnthouse,

I m really happy that we got one more member who has some knowledge about meads as myself I haven't tasted mead but I want to make it so that I can have it :D.

The Meads that I have made to date are similar to wines, some dry, some sweet. My wife likes her wine on the sweeter side so most are sweet. All are made from fruit so technically they are Melomel's. Most of my meads are made from fruit that I have grown and local honey.
To date:

Red Raspberry
Blackberry
Cherry (Semi-Sweet)
Pear
Concord
4-Berry (gooseberry, respberry, concord & mullberry)
