Newbie here. I have my first batch going. It is a RJS Cru Select Italian Rosso. I was telling a friend that I bought a kit and have started making wine in the age of Rona. He asked what kind of grape and I was embarrassed to not be able to tell him!! LOL! The box does not indicate grape variety. And I cannot find anything online! Does anyone know what grape variety is used in this kit?

I doubt anyone here will know for sure. You could ask RJS and report back. However, here is a (not altogether serious) response you can use if so desired:

"Friend, that question betrays your new-world bias towards single-variety wines. Most old-world wines are blends, and are not typically named for the varieties used. But, if you insist, the backbone is (probably) Sangiovese, with minor blending elements for structure."
