Hi. Has anyone seen their carboy turn hazy/cloudy like this before and found a fix? I've soaked it with PBW, a pink chlorinated cleaner, vinegar, and also bleach with no improvement. I'm wondering if CLR is the next step or if StarSan as an acid would be helpful. Our town water is from a well, so I'm wondering if that's a factor in all of this.

Thanks in advance.

It looks like hard water stains, so as you suspected you need something acidic, the best bet would be a lime scale remover or a toilet cleaner that contains HCl like The Works or Snobowl. I have seen some stains resist even those cleaners. I always do a final rinse with pure water from my reverse osmosis system so that minerals left after drying are minimized. Some people prefer to store carboys wet with sulfite or other storage solution. The best solution is to keep the carboy filled with wine.
