Having trouble posting avatar

I tried before and tried again today to load my avatar and I most be doing some little thing wrong .It's smaller then it says for size but i still can't get it to load . Tried from photobucket and from my PC niether will work .

Are you getting an error message? Also, if using Photobucket, which of the link choices are you using.

It says invalid file and I tried all link choices many times .

Thanks wade but still wondering why it wouldn't work for me .
Green mountains she's a 10 month old fawn boxer we bought from the local pet store because I couldn't stand to see her there another night .Her name is Babe and she loves everyone and everyone loves her she's such a happy dog .
