I've used copper pipe to successfully treat a strawberry batch. That was before I had a vacuum pump available.

My question is whether or not vacuum alone is an effective h2s treatment.

It sure smells like it's working! :rdo
 
I dont understand what vacuum pump has to do with H2S. Ive never seen anything on treating H2s with vacuum. there are a few other things other then copper to treat this problem though!

It's a question, not a statement. Does vacuum pull h2s out of wine the same way it pulls co2 out of wine?

I take it the answer is 'not that you're aware of'.

Other than copper pipe stirring and copper sulphite addition?

I think PolyClar will help also. i dont think you would want to try and do that with the vacuum pump as you might pull out lots of floral notes that belong.
