Other Grape skins packs - what type(s) grapes in em?

So far I haven't seen any info included in any kits, from any provider, that indicate what type(s) of grapes are in the packs...

So a couple questions I have as a still relatively new vino vintner:

1) when purchasing a single varietal vino from a kit provider -- do the skin packs provided match the juice varietal? ie) if I have an RJS En Primeur Chilean Malbec - are the skin packs Chilean Malbec too?

2) for blends is there any rhyme/reason to which type(s) of skins are provided?


Maybe @Matteo_Lahm can chime in re: the skins FWK uses in their packs.

1) More than likely the skins are not from the varietal that the juice is.
2) somewhere way back in the dim recesses of my memories, I vaguely recall reading, hearing, making up that most skins in wine kits are Merlot. (Trust that maybe less than most things you read on the internet.)

From what I have been told they can be from a variety of red wine grapes and honestly it doesn’t really matter as any skins will benefit a wine. You can even buy skin packs online separate for winemaking.
