As if we don’t have enough pests this is another one I found in the vineyard. At first I thought it was a wasp but nope. There doesn’t seem to be a good pesticide so I’m trying predatory nematodes, hope they work. The only way to tell if they are a problem is dig up the vine and look for the grubs. This is from the VA Tech files. Grape root borer spray.

The organic VineSmith charts show Isomate-GRB as the only treatment. The non organic charts only lists chlopyrifos (Warhawk Clearform) as treatment. Isomate-GRB is listed as more effective.
