If there's one thing that p!sses me off with this site, is the way it logs me off when I'm actively composing a thread.

Hit 'submit new thread', post disappears and get asked to log in? Get real.

No idea if post was successful or not - p!ss off.

Please be more descriptive in your question title petes. I thought you had made some wine that gave you the shits, and I was going to ask why. Only to be sure I didn't make the same error, nor would any of us serious wine makers to be. it wouldn't be any fun if thats the way it worked out.

Happens to me too sometimes.
Reason is when I have 2 windows open in my browser
(Firefox) and I switch between to look something up
then the forum software thinks that I gave logged out.

So try to keep working in 1 window and see if that cures
the fault.
