Germinating seeds from pomace

Will it work? Or has the alcohol damaged them? Anyone tried it?

I assume you are asking about grapes. They generally don't grow well from seeds.

If other fruits that normally grow well from seeds, if the seed pod isn't broken, they probably don't care about
the fact that they were recently pruned.

I've tried it with no success. I've pulled seeds before and after fermentation, rinsed them, discarded the floating seeds, briefly air dried the seeds, refrigerated them until spring and attempted to grow in seed starters. No luck for me.

I know it can be done, so I'm clearly doing something incorrectly or missing something. Figured I'd at least offer a procedure that doesn't work so you don't make the same mistake! Good luck and be sure to post your successes or failures too.

Thank goodness they don't grow. I've scattered hundreds of pounds of pumice around our yard in the first few years, much to the Mrs. dismay. Fortunately they did not grow or we would be surrounded by vines now.
