I bought a malic acid test kit from piwine the other day and am testing my older and current vintages.
This years wine is currently undergoing mlf and 2019 did not undergo mlf even tho I added bacteria, Wyeast strain not recorded. The 2019 vintage is quite sharp on the tongue. Next up the 2017 and 2020. I think this test is really simple and leads to better wine.image.jpg

Yes, this test is very easy to run. Some comments and I notice these on several sheets folks have posted. Make your drops as small as possible and you can get upwards of 8 to 10 on the same sheet. But that's just me being lazy.

No, good point I can do that and save on solvent. Plus once you’ve done the test you really don’t need the small vials of reference acids anymore.
