Fruit Zone Netting Size? Recommendation

Last year, I lost my pitiful crop to some creatures. I suspect raccoons but never caught anything in the act. I did not net the vines.

I want to order netting soon. I plan to net the fruit zone because netting too close to the ground will get caught in the mower. Trust me, I know.

I am looking at Orchard Valley Supply 3/4 inch mesh. $250 for 3.5 feet by 5000 feet. Will this mesh be small enough? Any other suppliers that you would suggest?

If your not sure what critter it was, maybe get a cheap trail cam to see what’s doing the damage?

I do plan to set up cameras but I don’t want to wait until the invasion to net. By then, I’ll have lost another crop. I know we have raccoons, turkeys and birds. Probably squirrels. Whatever my critters, they took the whole berry. Raccoons and turkeys take the whole berry. I had a few clusters left so I tried paper bags and my thieves tore tge bags off. Thus I blame raccoons.

Netting won’t stop raccoons. They are relentless. And quite clever

The smaller the net opening the better I use c clips on my side nets with VSP my double Genevia I have to use 14 foot wide good luck !
