fruit fly in airlock

I found a dead fruit fly floating in the solution in my airlock. Does anyone know if I should be worried?

I wouldn't be worried.. sounds like the airlock did its job Just empty it out and put some new sanitizer in (or vodka, whatever you use.)

"MUST" be a good wine to attract them... LOL
relax and have a glass or 2 or 3 . . .

You should only be worried about the fact that there is a fruit fly around. Where there is one there might be more......

If you spot more, make a fruit fly trap.
Fill a wine-bottle with a bit of wine, add some soap
and just let it stand next to your carboys.

Fruitflies will fly in and drink the wine and get killed by the
soap. Or just drown in the wine.

Each year I trap many with this setup.

There are some fruit flies here in Fl. that will start a full fledge panic amongst the county officials.
Was only six or eight years ago they were using helicopters and old DC3's to spray malathion all over the county because of the mediterrinian fruit fly.
