I just recieved a stockpile of smaller pails from a local grocery store. They were originally used for shipping donut glaze and lemon filling. Assuming that these are food grade, however are they okay to use as a primary fermenter?

As always thanks

If they are food grade I would see no reason not to use them as primaries and given the fact they were for what you stated they should be food grade.

I see a lot of small batches of wine in your future.

I work at Tim's and used the icing buckets on a couple of wines already with no problem . Just make sure you clean them well the same as any bucket .
