Question.... My fermentations seem to be much more foamy this year then I remember.... Only when I do a punch down does this happen. Not really worried about it but wondering if their is any meaning behind it.... Yeast is BM4X4 and D254.... Both are about the same response during punch downs.... Doing a cooler fermentation now at about 75 degrees.

BM4X4 can definitely get a little foamy. I don't recall noticing that on D254.

My Cab fermrntations are also very foamie. In 9 gal fermenters their is a 4-6 " dense cap, which I punch down 4X a day. Very foamy under the cap. Yeast is red Pastuer. This is day 6, Brix is 2. Pressing Sat or Sun. Roy
