Fix too much sugar

If you can fix a batch that is too acidic with adding sugar, can you fix a batch that is too sweet by adding acid and tannin?

it is a question of balance the fourth element is alcohol suggest bench trials with the acid and alcohol as they are the fastest acting to see if it helps.
