Gots 10 gallons of black raspberry going that is almost 6 months old now.

It is very heavy on tannen, good flavor otherwise so I tried the egg thing.

When I mixed the egg white I seen a bunch of white stuff floating that later settled out.

Is this normal?
 
Yes, how many did you use?

1 egg mixed with 1/2 litre warm water and a pinch of salt.

1/2 in each carboy.

Did this 2 days ago and there is some settleing on the bottom already.

Why?

Googled the recipe and it called for a pinch of salt to break down one of the components of the eggwhite.
