I was thinking of doing 4 juice pales from L'uva Bella. There were past threads on them here. I was going to do 2 merlot and 2 chardonnay. I ran across this and wanted to give it a try.

I couldn't find anyone that has it so they said I could order direct. BUT, they don't want to ship unless I have it shipped overnight. I haven't seen any other mention of people getting this refrigerated or seen internet resellers that seem concerned about shipping it via normal shipping. Have I just missed this or is this concern on their part over blown. The culture is $23? and shipping $45 overnight.

The local place I used to buy Malolactic Bacteria always insisted it be kept very cold. They no longer sell it. So I've bought it from Morewinemaking.com. They sell a cold pack to shop with it.

Depending on the temps and distance, I have purchased it without any extra cooling and it has worked just fine. I am in Missouri.

I buy from MoreWine and take a cooler with frozen packs to bring it home. I sure wouldn't want it after a ride home on a hot dashboard!

The safest bet is the more wine insulated envelope with the cold pack.
