I realize this may be blasphemy but I have researched it and see that as long as I use sanitizer, I do not have to use hot water. It is a hassle to put a thot water heater where I am going to wash bottles and carboys.

So, I plan on scrubbing good with PBW and rinsing with starsan.

Any opinions?

I dunno. I tend to find that cleaning is always easier with hotter rather than cooler water. Easier but not perhaps required. We are not sterilizing anything and sanitization uses chemicals rather than boiling.

I use electric tankless for my floor heat system. Works great, but takes a bit longer, 15-20 seconds, to heat the water than a gas heater. Only pain is running the 30A circuits, but easier than a vent in the basement.
