Picked a lot of blossoms today. They are huge in a hay field we use and fertilized a month ago.
1 qt. dandelion blossoms
1g boiling water1.8oz wine yeast
8 cups sugar
1 orange
1 lemon.

Can I substitute honey for sugar to make this wine?

TIA

It is my understanding that you can replace 1 pound of sugar (~4 cups) with ~1.25 pounds (~5 cups) of honey in wine making. Check you SG and tweak as necessary to get to your target starting specific gravity (between 1.070 and 1.100). Enjoy your Dandelion Mead! :)
