Hi Folks,

Will be picking up a crusher/de-stemmer with an electric motor. Would like to know if it is ok to store it over winter in an unheated garage where it will eventually be subject to temperatures in the -20's C and humidity?

Thank you,

Rob S.

I do, but at the end of the season, I double check my cleaning, use some food safe lube on the friction locations and say thank you for all the manual labor it saved me.

Just make sure its clean, if you can, I would cover the motor with a trash bag and tape it closed. Just to keep critters out of it.:h

I got mine in 1995 and have kept it in an unheated tool shed since the day I got it.

it has only needed good cleaning before putting it away and it is still very much workable.

you should be perfectly fine...
