I've been doing quite a bit of reading on here lately and it seems that many people note that they prefer the RJS Cru Select kits to the En Primeur kits. For those of you that do, can you explain why? Is it price/value? Is it a wine style difference? Drinks better earlier? Don't want to wait as long to age?

I'm going to buy another kit or two in the short term and am wondering which it should be. I don't mind paying the extra or waiting an extra few months. But if there's no advantage or I'm waiting longer for a style I'm not inclined toward, I'll save the little difference and make an extra kit.

So please tell me why you prefer the Cru Select if you do.

Thanks.

I prefer cru international reds to cru select, since it comes with skin.

I do Cru select whites but Reds are En Primeur for the ones to age and Cru International for the quicker drinking. For the whites I don't find the En Primeur adds any benefit for the money, but then again I don't appreciate a good white wine like I do a red.
