RJ Spagnols Cru International Cab/Merlot

Started last night. Will make by the book with the exception of some additional oak. Planning to trunk age most of it, but will put back a few bottles for the year mark.

Anybody done this one?

No but I am a big fan of their CabSav. This kit is on my list to try soon.

I have 2 Cru Intl kits bulk aging right now. The Cal Zin and the Nebbiolo. Added oak to both switched the yeast on both, and did small 4wk EM on both. They are both great for what they are. Especially the Zin. I’m actually going to do that one again. It’s as good if not better then the CC Showcase OVZ that it’s aging next to.

I have both of those as well. I am a little disappointed in the Nebbiolo from a technical standpoint, but it is really tasty.
