anyone use corks for hobbies? Need to slice them in half? Never get them even?

Get a section of 1” cpvc, cut it into about 18”, on what is going to be the bottom split pipe up about 1 1/2 cork lengths, turn pipe over and come down from top 2 cork lengths, use dremel too to cut a slice in side, now cut another slice exactly opposite of the first one. Slide utility blade(razor blade without the shoulder) in slots, break off edge of blade so it doesn’t stick out so far, tape into place, get piece of pool noodle foam and slice a slot into it and place over razor blade sticking out of pipe. Tape into place.

Now you can push corks into top of pipe (use mallet handle) and they come out the bottom sliced exactly in 1/2.
