Hello everyone. I've been lurking around this forum for some time now. I haven't posted before as I've always been able to search and find any answers that I might need before this week.
I'm purchasing a few different red kits and they are all based on similar commercial wines that I like (Eclipse Lodi Zin, Enigma, and Trinity Red).
I would like a light bodied, no oak wine and trying to decide between the Bergamais and the Coastal Red, but I have no idea what the commercial equivalent to the Coastal Red would be. My palate is not that refined, so the description of "cherry notes" doesn't tell me much.
For those of you who've made it before, do you have a recommendation of a red blend I can purchase that tastes similarly?
