Friends; I'm new to wine making and have a batch of Red Wine in the first fermintation stage. My question is I would like to add a little chocolate flavor to my wine but don't know when to introduce it. Am I too late and if not how do I go about putting in the chocolate flavor? Any help would be greatly appeciated. Thank You 8 BALL

hi 8 Ball and welcome to the forum,

If it's in the first stages of fermentation.. you could have a look at this recipe

http://www.winemakingtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3494

and add cocoa powder. I don't think it's too late at this point.

Then there is an f pac with chocolate extract for after ferment is completed.

Any questions on the recipe.. just ask

we typically add it before we resweeten it and then add the sorbate/meta.

we made our own vodka based chocolate liqour to add to wines. it was fantastic! you can do it with gadiva liqour too.
