I’m really enjoying these videos; they’re very practical and filling in the little details that the books I have don’t cover. Thanks again for putting them together and sharing!

Hi all! A quick video on leaf-pulling in the vineyard. Why, When, and How!

I hope the information is helpful!

Appreciated the video on Leaf-pulling. I have a 25 year old homemade concord grape arbor which consistently develops black spots despite spraying. After viewing your video I will trot myself up the the arbor and start pulling, and hope for a better crop..... Thankyou...........................Dizzy

Thanks Justin!

Great question. I guess it really depends on your specific trellis.

If pulling leaves would leave the grapes "dappled" by sunlight, then I would try it. If pulling leaves left the grapes naked and baking in the sun, then maybe it wouldn't be such a good idea.

You could do some experiments on small sections and see how your grapes do in those sections.
