Can't stabilize and clear my Merlot on schedule

I'm making a Harvest Selection 28-day Merlot kit. The instructions call for it to be degassed, stabiliized and cleared in a few days but we'll be on vacation at that time. Can I safely delay this step by 10 days or should I do it two days earlier than the instructions call for?

If it's in a carboy under air lock, leave it. Patience is a winemaker's best friend.
