Campden tablets vs K-meta

Since campden tablets are not as potent as the k-meta and you have to crush the campden tablets before using anyway.....why would I choose to use them over K-meta powder?

I'm not sure other than availability. I'm using campden tablets, but am switching to the powder for everything except the starting must dosage.

Campden Tablets are easier to measure and use, so some people prefer them. (It's fairly easy to measure the tablets, even if you need only 1/2.) Since k-meta is often used for sanitizing, as well, many winemakers already have it, so don't bother with the tablets.

It's basically a personal preference.
