Hey All,

Currently clearing a Vino De Vida Chard kit per instructions. Everything is going swimmingly.

I do, however, feel a little weird not giving the wine a campden tablet or two before bottling. Instructions don't say anything about it, but I'd like to stay on the super safe side, this being my first kit.

Would adding an appropriate amount of campden tablets a couple days before bottling do any harm? Any good?

Thanks!

Spagnols expects Vino del Vida wine to be consumed fairly quickly so the addition of campden (or K-meta) at bottling is not necessary.

If you wish to add campden, go right ahead. Their En Primeur instructions contain the following line
4. If ageing past 6 months we suggest adding an extra ¼ teaspoon of sulphite to the wine to prevent premature oxidation.
