Bucket head space

Is 5” of headspace in a bucket with a sealed cover and airlock too much after primary fermentation is almost finished. Some buckets with skins other without. SG at 1.020 or there abouts.

I assume you're talking about EM? If so, as long as the container is sealed at 1.020, I don't believe any reasonable about of headspace is an issue. 5" should not be.
