    Was this vintage you first foray into using whole grapes?

    If so, how did the "whole grape" wines turn out?

    I have been making wine from grapes and fruit for a long time now.I like making it from grapes because I can make a port, first tun, and a second run.

    I did my first kit wine appropriate a year ago , otherwise I make wine from juice buckets

    OK, sorry, just having a senior moment here. Someone was asking my advice a while back about making wine from whole grapes. I do not know why I was thinking that it was you.

    Only 133 bottles from 6 carboys? Seem to average around 25 per carboy... Not 22

    I mentioned 6 carboys -
    Not all were 6 gallons in size

    I had some that were
    3 gallon
    5 gallon
    6 gallon
    and 7 gallon

    I did not keep track of the exact volume we did - except for the bottle count.

    The number of bottles you yield is greatly affected by the number of people you have helping you bottle.

    I call this the "Just Sampling" factor.
