I've seen a lot of warnings against using a blender to avoid fractured seeds.

What about for seedless fruits... Or fruits that you can remove seeds first? Apples for example.

Basically, are the seeds the only true reason to avoid blending?

Thanks!

Using a blender on fruit usually results in puree, which results in a LOT of lees. Depending on how much fruit & how finely it's "blended," you could lose as much as a gallon of volume in your carbouy. Filtering puree is tough, filters clog often.

I think you'd be better off just freezing & thawing the fruit twice. This will help to break down cell walls & make the fruit much softer, aid in juice extraction & make improvised crushing really easy. The best part is you can still contain the fruit in a mesh sack for easy removal later.
Just my 2 cents worth.
Regards, GF.
