Good evening!!!
I started a batch of peach wine as a spur of the moment thing. It has been fermenting for about 10 days and I want to strain out all the peach flesh and allow to continue fermentation. I am using "old school" home brew products so only have one glass 5 gallon jug (pickle jar) to use. I would like to transfer the wine to another container, wash the glass jug and strain it back into the jug for continued fermentation. My dilemna is what to use for the temporary container (no more than 30 minutes). I have a large aluminum stock pot or a 5 gallon food grade bucket that has been used previously for our brining bucket prior to smoking meats. I'm concerned that either one could potential impact the wine. Suggestions?
Thanks in advance!!!:a1

For that short of a period, you will be fine racking to the bucket. Put the lid on it so nothing can get into it.
