    i never boil my fruit but i gently heat it, i believe by heating it you would release more flavour by breaking down cells/molecules(can a biology teacher help me out here) it might also get rid of toxins(hence the scum on top) but i would think a prolonged biol would do more harm than good

    have patience most peaple only filter wines for competions but all all wines will clear enough for everyday life if given time and no i wouldnt use a filter if the wines are for drinking at home

    Bentonite slurry

    i make up about 500ml at a time and just leave it sitting,a good shake before you use it is all thats needed. make sure its well mixed to start with ive left mine for a couple of months with no probs. as i dont use it with every wine time useually sorts out clearing.
