    Schedule Managing Wines

Have to agree that even ClickUp is overkill, however the free for life version, and it's scalability make it worthwhile for me. I have mostly Apple products, and I've done DB design in the past with Access, just not sure I want to go that route. With ClickUp, I'm able to hide or add columns in...

    Schedule Managing Wines

I started (back) in this hobby or obsession back in April, and have found myself with several different wines in different stages of fermentation, stabilizing, aging, and everything in between. To that end, I started looking for ways to improve my time management. I currently have 7 different...

    Great price on bottles!!!

Thanks for the info! I just placed an order, just wish they had "antique green", but at this point, I'll take what I can get. I have a batch that's ready for bottling, although aging a few more weeks wouldn't hurt at all. I also found some on Amazon that seemed reasonable for 4 cases at $90...

    Great price on bottles!!!

Beginning to believe this company isn't active. I have placed two orders, the first was cancelled for some reason, and then I placed another on May 18th, no response from the store, via email or their chat bot. Anybody know the best place to buy bottles where shipping doesn't kill the price?

    Fermentation Vessel for grape must

I currently have a Pinot Noir, Super Tuscan, an RJS En Premeur Cabornet in various stages. I want to make a Petite Sirah, but availability in a kit is scarce. I'm trying to make a total of 3 (or 4) different Cabornet's since that's what I drink a lot of. Once I've made those, I'll pick a...

    Fermentation Vessel for grape must

Thank you for the excellent advice. I ended up purchasing a 15 gallon fermentor, and needed to hold off on ordering the must until next week. I ordered the yeast, ferm-aid, and a bunch of other stuff for the inventory, and wanted to make sure I had everything on hand before the must arrived. I...

    Fermentation Vessel for grape must

I actually like this idea. I just ordered some Andvent yeast, forgive the spelling if wrong, ADT-32, as I read some post on here saying it was a really good yeast for full bodied reds. That said, do you have a recommended yeast for a Petite Sirah?

    Fermentation Vessel for grape must

Relatively new, as I have 3 wine kits currently in various stages - 2 in secondary, and 1 still in primary fermentation. (Pinot noir, Cabernet Sav, and Super Tuscan, respectively). Seems like every time I rack a wine, I have an empty primary fermentor. I have 2 - 1 glass and 1 plastic big...

    Wineries near Carlsbad CA

I enjoy their Petite Sirah, but they used to have a Reserve Petite Sirah that was a limited edition - if they have any of it, it's one of my favorite wines. I'm more reds over white, and enjoy their Cabornet just as well.

    Wineries near Carlsbad CA

One of my favorite Wineries is Beach House Winery in Oceanside. It's set atop a hill, and George and Kim are just amazing to talk to. George gave me a quick tour of the operation a few years ago. Very personable, and definitely not commercialized like many in the area.

    Great price on bottles!!!

Just found this place - New to the hobby - but was looking for cheap bottles. It looked like a lot of places were out of antique green, and shipping to SoCal was a deal breaker. Case of 12 for 14.99, and free shipping. https://brewmybeers.com/collections/bottles

    DIY Vacuum Pump

This Vacuum Pump looks like it might be better spec'd: I haven't build this yet, but in the beginning stages of putting together a kit - The OP's pictures aren't coming up for me, so I may attempt a new build and post updated pictures? Vacuum Pump 12V - (0-22inHg vacuum range)

    New Winemaker

From SoCal. I made my first batch of wine nearly 25 years ago, and then life got busy. Starting back in the hobby about 2 weeks ago, and realized how much things have changed - no screening the yellow pages for a local brew/wine place. I used to have to drive to Atlanta GA from Beaufort, SC...
