    So, update.....crisis over Just for the hell of it, bc the idea of having 2 stuck ferments seemed like getting stuck by lightning twice on a tuesday....decided to check my equipment ....(broke my fav hydrometer just after crush) Hydrometer was way off in water, got 2 replacements today... Yay!

    So, I wanna throw this out to you all, I have 2 stuck ferments, nesr the end of process. Neither has budged in 2 days, zin stuck at 1.002 and sangiovese at 1.006. Used bm4x4 in both. Started making my ec1118 starters last night. My question is, would it be smarter to press now and add starter...

    For what it's worth, my 54 liter demijohns fit in my fridge with the shelves removed....got last springs merlot blend in there trying to get all the neutralized Crystal's from adding potassium bicarbonate to drop out

    I just crushed 8 Lugs of brunello sangiovese clone....any never used this and was expecting my order to be sangiovese...this is the box....any body have any thoughts on this?

    Zin and sangiovese....will blend a portion of each keeping some unblended.. The blend I made of cab and zin from last fall was my best so far.... Having trouble with the merlot/pinotage from the spring I may have to pick ur brain on at so.e point

    We just are encouraging you to think outside the box as well as get you more wine....I would do this... Take the lid from the brute, flip it over on the floor and put the bucket on it, let that ferment right in it's own bucket..it may spit over a bit, but that's why the lid is there... Crushing...

    Maybe I'll see you all at ginos...placed my order this week, going with 8 sangiovese and 6 old vine zine gonna blend 66/33 on a portion and keep 5 gall of each pure... I do like the super tuscan idea...may e next year

    Misery, loves company, when I saw thread title I thought 'story of my life...' I'm finding checking everything with vinmetric and getting my numbers in line helps a lot....still not getting all to complete but batting like 650...
