    HarborFreight vacuum pump problem

I purchased the air powered vac pump from Harbor Freight, took the housing off and installed the fittings needed to hookup the hoses. I installed an inline ball valve and a vac gauge to control and monitor the pressure. Works perfect for a dime! If you don’t have an air compressor to power...

    Grape Quality

Thanks. I make a pretty mean batch of Concord, dry and back sweetened! I average over 150 lbs. for an afternoons worth of picking and get enough to last me till next season plus a batch of jam as well! My Wife and I like touring the wineries in Colorado. I’ll save my money for that.

    Clear then cloudy

It’s been sitting in my garage with an average temp of 40 deg. What has me baffled is that at the last racking it was clear with only a smal layer of lees at the bottom. I didn’t need to move the carbon at all when I racked it this last time so it didn’t get stirred up at all. I added some...

    HELP with Concord Grapes

I leave the skins in the must for at least four to five days before pressing. It makes a great light body red! Add some peppercorns in the must as well for an interesting taste! No more than five days though.
