    I'll preface my comments by saying I am rather inexperienced! However, I would not throw the batch away. Options: 1. Add more sugar and fruit and let it ferment further. Do you have a hydrometer? If not, you should invest $15 in one and watch some videos on YouTube about how to use it...

    If the package ships via airplane, the lower exterior pressure at altitude could also allow the cork to push out, especially if there is any carbonation pushing from the inside....

    Thanks for stating that more clearly. I am trying to completely purge the O2 with Co2, not just create a blanket barrier layer of Co2.
