Can anyone identify the variety of these grapes, please?

Judging by other pictures of Reliance grapes, the leaf shape seems to match better. If It's one or the other, I would have to guess Reliance. There may be a university extension near you that does identification you can take a cutting and send it in if you want more than a random internet...

Trellis type and height for southern Wisconsin Petit Pearl

I've got my Pearl on a wire that is 6' off the ground. They've been pretty easy to maintain at that level. 5th leaf is this year for, them so we'll see what kind of grop I get.

    Our first Wine show....

I was also a little worried about slower sales, and that was the way things started for me, but as it turns out Alcohol is a bit of a recession proof industry. We released our port last month. Moves a little slower than the light fruity stuff in the summer, but it's nice to broaden our...

    Rat/squirrel rodent damage

For Chipmunks, I recommend taking a 5 gallon bucket and filling it up 1/3 of the way with water, covering the water with black oil sunflower seeds, and then leaning a plank up to this bucket. You can typically get 2-3 each set, depending on your chipmunk population. I've caught up to 5 in a...

    New Maryland Vineyard

Best thing to do is to look up any local vineyards in your area and see if you can ask about any soil changes they may have done before planting. A few of the other guys here might know a bit more about soil than I do though. I had the benefit of seeing wild Riparia thriving on my property...

    Fruit drop

The raccoons in my vineyard have unfortunate accidents... They're terribly clumsy creatures you see...

    What the hell is this?

That is a gall formed by an insect: cecidomyiid fly. Grape Tumid Galls I think is the name. I tend to get 1 or 2 a year. They're harmless, and I just ignore them.

    VSP vs TWC

Wow! Your vines look great! I've got my Itasca on TWC, with a focus towards higher yields and less work (Per the research that Cynewulf linked) This year is year 3 for me so I'll be pulling in a modest crop of Itasca this year. I prune and spray, and do a little shoot positioning and cluster...

    Best sprayer for 50 vines?

I've got 200 vines and I use a Hudson Never pump 4 gallon backpack sprayer. I recommend it, although you're walking with it, rather than towing it.

Can you sell your wine legally if you're a home grower?

Not quite. If you're doing a grape wine or fruit wine, and are only using standard ingredients (Fruit, sugar, yeast, standard additives like kmeta) then you don't need your formula approved by TTB via formulas online. Regardless of what's in the bottle (grape wine or not) you need to have your...

Help me clean up this overgrown mess!

Rice Guy is right. There is really no harm that you can do in removing whatever you want to at this point. Feel free to remove or reposition anything that you can access that isn't in the position that you want it in. It's looking great!

Help me clean up this overgrown mess!

I'd say it's up to you. If it were me I'd probably remove the lattice and let the grapes fill in the space. Then it would be easier to harvest fruit and work on the vines. I also think rotting lattice is going to be a good place for mold and fungus to build up. Also it'll restrict airflow...

    Vineyard maintenance Mower question

I only recently broke down and bought a riding mower for my acre. When I get the cash I'll spring for a Deere. Before that i was using my Honda. I'm not sure if this is the exact model, but it's really close: Honda HRN216VKA Model Info | 21" Walk Behind Mower | Honda Lawn Mowers Mine's got...
