What’s wrong with whipping to degas?

I used to whip to degas but now just let time do it for me. I really think I'm making better wine going the slow road :) I also think racking my wines with my AIO has been a game-changer - swear by that piece of equipment.

46th Annual US Amateur Winemaking Competition

I use FedEx and schedule a pick-up. We do a small amateur winemaking competition with our fair and charge $10 an entry but we only have medal and shipping costs so we almost break even. If we didn't get everything from food to event space donated there is no way we could stay at $10.

i used 8 - cut in half and cleaned out but not too clean. Sprayed everything with starsan before I did anything. Dropped them into the secondary container and racked on top (I use the All In One Wine Pump - LOVE it). Let sit 10 days then racked, added priming sugar and bottled.

Bottled a pretty nice jalapeno beer - used a blonde ale base. Made my labels with my cricut to be frugal. Sampled it at a BBQ contest this past weekend and it got great reviews. I'll stick to wine but I do love making beer!

2nd Annual Knob Noster Amateur Wine Making Competition

Year #2! Our competition is very intimate and though it is a fair fundraiser we want to stay on the smaller side for several more years (as the wine making bug spreads locally). We advertise very little - basically this forum is the largest advertising. In addition I love our medals - put a...

I think you can do just about anything with a cookie so why not groom cookies. I'm just getting started so I have a lot to learn and probably lots & lots of screwing up in my future ~ Pinterest and I will have to break up after Valentines Day though!

    removing labels easily

I just soak in hot water and use a razor blade with a plastic shell thing so my fingers are safe and cramp free. I'm pretty good at label removal but anything that requires too much time gets recycled. Lucky for us we have a winery close by and they use the best bottles and their labels just...
