    Has anyone started this kit? What are you learning? I just racked my second batch of Eclipse Mosel Riesling to secondary. The first batch is down to three- four bottles, was very well received. This new red kit has double yeast and other of other features that suggest higher alcohol levels...

    IMHO adding Cab Franc and Petit Syrah will make a big difference and add layers of flavor and aroma.....this combo is well worth your extra effort.

    Meca......Col Solare Well we are back from our vino vacation in Wash. st.. Wine makers conference in Portland was great, and loved the Columbia River Gorge. The real high point was visiting, touring and tasting at Col Solare vineyard in the new Red Mountain AVA. Will post photos......

    Thanks, most helpful. It takes allot of sugar to move the needle. How long would you wait on a grape pack kit to get actual impact on SG? 24-48? Do you think 1.086 at 24 hrs. is low for this kit and wine?
