    Cellar Craft Nebbiola kits

I've made quite a few Amarone's. I have one left in carboy (1 year) and just bottled a batch yesterday that was a year old. Started 2 batches of Amarone yesterday as well.

    Cellar Craft Nebbiola kits

I am a big fan Cellar Craft Showcase kits. I also enjoy a barolo wine. I know companies can not use some names like Barolo on their kits, but have a taste comparable or use a grape of that variety. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a wine kit like this? Also, in Cellar Craft...

    Cheap rack

Not woven. Here we call it welded wire. All the wire is just to sides (hope this makes sense) one side is vertical, other is horizontal, tack or press welded where they meet. Mine is not stainless but suppose it could be

    Cheap rack

Some in 3 store bought racks in our old house and 7 carboys waiting to bottle. IT'S COMING IT'S COMING!

    Rinse bottles

We actually did this with 4 gallons of Bleach. Well people told us that Bleach only contains 3 % Chlorine and sold us some stuff that was over 90%. Shocked well ran it, but it's still not the best water. Has lots of iron in it and the iron remover we put in, helps but it's not perfect...

    Cheap rack

Here I had to get it at a mining supply. It's welded wire. I found places in the States I could buy it but not here.

    Rinse bottles

After rinsing a bottle with sterlizing solution like meta sulphite, does a person have to rinse them with water? Askin as we moved and are on a well, and the water is not very good. thanks in advance.

    Displaying wine

I have all my wine in storage in basement on side, in rack. I have a nice display rack in dining room where the bottles stand upright. I know the corks need to be moist but wondering how long I could display a few bottles in the upright rack and then rotate them. I like to have wines there...

    Cellar Craft Argentinian Malbec

Made 2 batches of it and very happy with it. Long aging really helps as with any wine. Make and forget and don't cheat.

    Secondary

Some use a carboy for primary, which I've never done. I'm running out of carboys. Is it possible to use a fermation pail for secondary? Thanks in advance

    Cellar Craft adding tannin

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I think I'll just leave well enough alone as most of you have stated.

    Cellar Craft adding tannin

tannin I can't get spirals here, sometimes cubes. I mostly get chips or (almost a sawdust) I add a new pack each time I rack. I rack kind of sporadically.

    Cellar Craft adding tannin

Sorry, I should add, I've never just let a wine clear on it's own. I would like to eliminate as much additives as possible. At the end of the 2nd stage, is there anything I HAVE to add before letting sit and clearing on it's own? Thanks

    Cellar Craft adding tannin

I make all Cellar Craft Showcase Reds. I bulk age in carboy for at least 6 months, more to a year. I have now in secondary a Amarone, Malbec and a Chateuna Du Pay (spelling? don't look back) Is there any benefit to adding tannins? If so, when should one add them. I don't have a good...

Is this yours? trying to count but can't see all of it. How many bottles can you store?

    Wine Cellar/room

Thanks for the replies and great ideas. As it will be an insulated basement and room, do I need to worry about humidity? Would a portable dehumidifier work or should I look into putting something in the wall, more of a permanent thing?

    Wine Cellar/room

I've seen these, people here call it goat wire, comes in big sheets. Ones I've seen just use the wire. Curious, why the wood in them?

    WineXpert Carboy vs bottle aging

Sulphate Sorry , not trying to hijack thread, it just kind of fits here. I bulk age my reds for at least a year in a carboy. Wine stores are always telling me I should be adding extra sulphate or put more in when I rack. I've never done this. Have not seemed to be a problem (yet) I'm...
