    Cork issues

These were from morewine, I use a Portuguese floor corker so it's a decent one and always keep the bottles upright for a few days before I put them in the basement for aging. When I bottled the wine I had mostly regular grade 3 corks and some of the bi-disk also. The regular corks have held up...

    Cork issues

This is from a 2013 Cabernet that I bottled around this time last year. Do you guys this this is too much of a seepage issue for a years worth of storage? It's a bi-disk cork which I know isn't great for super long term aging but a year seems kind of short.

I've tried walkers once, it was a riesling and it has turned out amazing honestly. They are one even though you kinda pay for it, it is definitely worth it. I just had an issue with h2s and added the proper amount and then add the proper amount of ascorbic acid. That took care of it in an hour. It was amazing!

    Late harvest Vignoles

I will be picking up 6 gallons of late harvest vignoles when the rest of my grape and juice order is ready to be picked up close to the end of the month. They posted the brix of the juice which was at 25 almost 26 brix. I am thinking this is pretty low for a late harvest wine, most in my area...

California Sauv Blanc - Yeast Choices?

I've used qa23 yeast on a few different whites and it has been great with all of them! Recently I did 30 gallons of cayuga white with 5 different types of yeasts and so far qa23 is the winner with taste and aroma.

Planting small Vinyard in the spring

Well that's good to know. I called our local do it center today and they have both an auger and a larger rototiller. I'm going to rent the rototiller to chop of the ground where my rows will be. Then in the spring I will rent an auger to dig the holes out. I am going to wait until I get my...

Planting small Vinyard in the spring

Yeah that's what I decided on, don't need to spend all that money just to have everything die on me. So would it be alright to just dig holes where I will be planting, instead of bringing heavy machinery in to cut the rows? I could buy a rototiller to till the land a little better. I will...
