Use a vacuum aspirator pump with the Buon Vino Bottle Gravity Filler and never bend over again!!!

The Meglioli corks are not 1.75 but they are very nice. I did the same thing you are planning and had no issue. Enjoy!

I concur with Peter. I do splash vacuum though. Gets rid of all the gas during transfer.

These are great. You can make them 1/2 height as well.

I find is a vacuum splash rack out of the secondary (around day 35), degassing is not an issue. It is all gone.

I find if I have the adjustment screw in the full open possition it works just fine. I end up with about 300cc of overflow from a 6 gal batch.
