Glad you think so! I designed the black one from scratch myself with photoshop. The parchment one is a professional book cover template from the publisher. That's straight out of the editor. The finished product is a little cleaner. I'll post a pic of it when they send me the proof.

How about a book cover? Which one do you guys like better? Black or parchment? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HTX3ZBM/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 I've got black on there now on the amazon bookstore but I can change it. The printed copy is a month out and there's a debate...

Acetone will burn all that sediment out of there for you. Go for it.

    Re-Using Bottles

I think I'm going to try boiling my wine bottles and scraping them while they're still hot this time. I've tried just about everything else and I'm not impressed. I've got plenty of big pots and if I boil the bottles I can skip the sanitizer.

Skil Power Corkscrew - anybody seen/tried?

I don't want a safe slide. I want a slide made from a wine bottle with history! I've got plenty of sanding blocks. I can make it safe enough.

This little flower and lots of leaves from this plant ought to do the trick. Be sure to sample some of the wine before you package it up. You'll have a good nightshade--ER... I... mean... A good night. Yes a good night!

Skil Power Corkscrew - anybody seen/tried?

Somebody needs to break a bottle neck as far below the cork as possible with a set of these and mail it to me. I want a slide for my guitar.

    What R you doing today?

Today I chased a wild hog one of my buddies shot through an acre of brambles and across a creek and a slough with my AR-15. I'm dirty, muddy, scratched up and mad. Because after over an hour of tracking I ran him out of the briar patch from hell and into the middle of the road where our other...

As part of my drink crafting I've come up with an organic energy drink but I can't come up with a good name for it. You guys are all super creative. Any suggestions? Once I finish the name I'll attack the label. I've got a few ideas for a label. All have to do with mythical creatures and fire...

Haven't started mine yet. I'm counting on the yeast from the old running shoe to kick my fermentation off. I haven't found a shoe that smells yeasty enough yet.

Alright so.... Here's the secret recipe. Use anyone of these additions and you'll be sure to take first place. Me personally, I'll be using all of em. So good luck. 1) 4.5 gallons of Welches White to make it "taste crisp and not taste sweet" 2) Fortify with 0.4 gallons of "Best Choice" 100%...

    Bottle Capper

Well fine, if that's unattainable I can live with that. What's the best capper in or close to my price range?

    Bottle Capper

It's not just for alcoholic beverages. It's also for several types of (non alcoholic) health drinks that my wife has been selling including an all organic SCOBY fermented energy drink. Her customers are requesting a twist cap glass bottle. I want to go ahead and do beer bottles so that I can...

    Bottle Capper

I need to get a new bottle capper for beer bottles. I'd like to be able to do twist caps and I'd like to keep it under about $60. Any suggestions? I know there are some vendors on here that should be able to help.

would you kindly review my plan?

You do not have to wait for the gas to extrude. If you have not tried degassing your wine yet, rack your wine back into your brew bucket but press the end of your racking tube against the side of the bucket at the top so that the wine has to pour down the side of the bucket in a "sheet" of...
