Looks like I am the only vote for Hazy Days, but that sounds great to me. Describes a southern afternoon on the back deck with a nice glass of wine. That's my vote.

If fermentation is complete I wouldn't worry, but an excess of star San could slow down your fermentation if you are racking out of primary and fermentation is still active.

I have always used it with really good success. I get my bottles from 2 wineries nearby, and sometimes they have a1/4" thick sludge at the bottom, but I give them a good soak overnight to get the lables off, then oxyclean with a bottle brush then rinse. They come out sparkling everytime.

I wouldn't be afraid of Them. Glass is non-pours, so some good scrubbing an oxyclean you should be good. So you have a bottle-brush?

Generally a Carboy is a little over its rated capacity I think they are measured to the top of the shoulder. So I would expect the 25l Carboy is going to have enough space for a standard 6 gallon kit.

If the sediment is a problem, I would stand the bottles upright over-night or until the sediment settles. I would then put them back in a sanitized Carboy (while trying to keep the sediment back in the bottle) that you have topped up with co2 or other heavier than air gas, and then let that...

Has anyone tried to use this Sassafras concentrate? If so, how did it work for you? Wondering if I should use real roots or try this.

Have been thinking that myself. I even thought it would be cool to embed small brass trinkets/charms in the wax. Haven't tried it yet though.
