whats inside new ballasts isn't much just a small electronic circuit board. a lot of ballast makers add a block of metal inside just to make the ballast seem heavy and solid. like the old ones. If your going to replace the fixture buy one with t5 bulbs way more light output with minimal power...
went to the woods 4 days of drinking naturally clean spring water, bathing in the river, and sippin wine / lemon cello under the stars. hate that tomorrow its back to work and civilization.

Hey giblet. I also have made the tea wine. what I do is put more tea bags in the carboy after stabilization while its aging. It seems to give it more of a final tea flavor.

I say unless your entering a competition the only thing that matters is taste. Its your wine and you are the primary consumer. If you love it then its exactly correct :r

I use them exclusively work for secondary a lot easier to clean. don't boil them just rinse wit hot water and soak in some sanitizer never had any problems
