    Book for Beginners

Glad someone caught this one. No pdf to be found. Besides, if only just putting the book together why have testimonials from people who refer to the book all the time.

What are you making and what have you made ???

    RJ Spagnols Merlot sugar crystals

Again, thanks everyone for your input - it is appreciated. What is surprising, comparing oranges to oranges (although not grape to grape), is that the same hasn't happened with the Carmenere. I'll have to keep an eye out. Thanks

    RJ Spagnols Merlot sugar crystals

Thanks for the reply guys. Yes it IS a En Primeur Talagante Chilean Merlot. I don't mind the sediment but don't much care for the wine diamonds at the end of a glass. This has never happened with any Winexpert premium kits and, have not experienced it with the RJS En Primeur Carmenére yet...

    RJ Spagnols Merlot sugar crystals

Just a reminder that I use a Bottle on premises service. Made a RJS Chilean Merlot and although it tastes good for now, I have found "sugar crystals" - can't explain it any other way - and also found it has sediment sticking to the side of the bottle. Any input would be appreciated about what...

    WineXpert Diablo rojo

Yes it IS drinkable young. I personally didn't like it but many others DID. For me it wasn't dry enough and too fruity.

    Photo of Almond Wine

NOT surprisingly Amaretto is made from almonds http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amaretto Those who have traveled to Italy and southern Europe will be familiar with Orzata, an almond-based syrup which when mixed with cold water in the summer will make a refreshing drink...

    Label Making

Let me make it perfectly clear in case I have misled... Only the text on the above samples are mine - the labels themselves are from templates. As for your BIL - I'd go for it - make a label and test 'im. Find a good year, find a way to somehow age the label and some dust and spider webs from...

    Corkage Fail

That's what you call screwing the corker I guess

    Label Making

That ain't such a bad idea - I just might get me some dust to do that. I couldn't resist so I've aged the wine by 89 years.

    Label Making

Most of my kits come with their own labels and if I needed to make labels I would go to http://www.bayfieldlabels.com/ and get their program, design the label and do a screen grab and paste into my printer program. The first one I did by using a website grab and pasted in my graphics...

    WineXpert Nero D'Avola

Maybe next year I'll do the Brunello.

WineXpert Selection Estate Series Italian Barolo

Sorry, I didn't do any tasting until bottling time.

    A little introduction......

Spoken like a true Italian - although you might not be one. I've told my brother how to write Ciao a zillion times but he prefers food and last names. Welcome Marquis.

WineXpert Selection Estate Series Italian Barolo

Yeah I know I don't know any of the fancy terms (lol) but I'm sure you will NOT be disappointed. Good luck. I'm sure you can tell - I really love my dry reds.

WineXpert Selection Estate Series Italian Barolo

Unfortunately it has only been a few weeks since bottling the WE It. Barolo but I CAN say that it is already a WOW on MY scale.

WineXpert Washington Meritage - Selection Limited Edition

Mine arrived last week. It all depends on the size of the store and the order. My WE retailer ALWAYS has the kits available whereas the RJS kits' retailer (a different store) has to order his in and there's always that extra week before he gets in in.

WineXpert Someone's knocking at the door......

OK OK wrist slapped - it's in the primary as of today.

    WineXpert New Zealand or Chiliean
