2/3 lemon and 1/3 lime is the favorite around here, tho I've thought about trying half & half. I would try that before doing all lime, I think, unless it was like a gallon batch. With just a gallon you could always mix it with SP if it was too strong. Somebody try it and let us know! lol

Aw heck, if it goes that quick no use clarifying anyway. Just let em drink it like it is. That's what I do. lol. It tastes just as good, just not as pretty. If your friends didn't like it that way, they'd not drink it so fast. SP is meant to be enjoyed. Have a great camping trip!

I've made batches from both at the same time to compare, and found the Real -Lemon juice has a much better taste. IMO, the Real Lemon brand is worth the extra money.

Cranberry Lemon/Lime SP seems be the favorite around here with everyone. We tried adding some White grape/Peach juice to it that was pretty good also, but so far haven't found any concentrate of that in our local stores.

We have been just using a starter, and then substituting the last bottle of lemon with 2 15 oz. bottles of Realime, and after it clears back sweetening with cranberry/pom, etc. That has worked out really well so far. I think I may try back sweetening with some cherry/pom concentrate this time...

Welcome, Winebreath! You've got some healthy looking batches going there. I'm envious! Did you start the new flavors with slurries or add the blueberry, cherry/lime, and cranberry juice after the SG got down to .050? They look great!

Linda, it seemed to take forever to get all the gas out of my second batch. It took a lot longer and much more stirring. I still don't know what the difference between it and my first batch was, unless it was because the must was at a cooler temp, but the second one was harder to degas.

We add the cranberry concentrate to our lemon/lime pee after clearing. The slight clouding is offset by the nice red color and it eliminates a few of the days waiting to bottle.
