    More juice mid-fermentation

So yesterday I racked my Sweet Tart (sorry, skeeter pee just doesn't do it for me) to the secondary and got the wild idea to add more blueberry pomegranate juice. It started to bubble profusely, but quickly subsided. The fermentation now looks normal which is good. I'm really hoping that this...

    My Cherry Pee is complete!!!

Was super worried that my Skeeter Pee would never clear...but it did! I had used Sparkolloid (positive charge) and it helped a little. A week later I added Bentonite (negative charge) and the next day...WALL-AH! I am completely addicted to this recipe and starting another this week. :h

    Stirring/Degassing after Sparkolloid

This probably could be a question related to wine making in general, but I'm pretty much referring to my Skeeter Pee. So yesterday I added some Sparkolloid to my S.P. and by the end of the night I saw a lot of sediment at the bottom of the carboy, so it looked like it had completely settled out...

    Torani flavoring for wine?

So I think that some have done this in the past but I'd like to know if you have used Torani flavored syrups in your f-packs, or at all, and if they worked out okay? Also, do you think that it would be a bad addition? I was thinking about adding some caramel flavoring to my pear.

Degassing with an immersion hand blender

Thinking I found the perfect thing (if going super, super cheap)for when I'm in a rush to degas my wine! I've started using an Immersion Hand Blender, and cannot believe the amount of foam it creates! What I do is rack my wine to an empty fermenter bucket and as it's filling up I start at the...

My idea for Strawberry Skeeter Pee...

So I really want to make a strawberry skeeter pee but not sure how to do this exactly. There really aren't a lot of options as far as strawberry concentrate so I came up with this recipe and was planning to add it when I back sweeten it. Strawberry Syrup 1 pint of fresh or frozen...

    Spring water Vs. Tap Water...

So I've heard not to use distilled water (ooops on the last batch) because there are so many necessary components in water that help create a good wine. What I want to know now is...can you use regular tap water or is the chlorine just too much? If I can't use tap water, is the only alternative...

How much Tannin if not using raisins?

So I'm not even sure if it's a real substitution or not (raisins for tannin), but I was curious about how much tannin you would use if your recipe does not call for it, yet calls for raisins? ~Sarah~
